Zanjeer The Chain is the story of two brothers. The elder brother Kumar takes the path of crime to take revenge from Sarweshwar, the killer of his father. Sudhakar the younger one is an honest person and hates crime.

Sarweshwar a refugee from Peshawar becomes the Mafia-King of the city his son Ajay returns from abroad. Kumar plans to kill Ajay but Sudhakar saves him. Sudhakar and Ajay become friends.

This action of Kumar makes Sarweshwar furious. This hide and seek between rivals goes on and one day Sarweshwar is killed by Kumar.

After a number of twists and turns, it is found that there is third person who wants Kumar and Ajay to fight and kill each other.

At last cloud of mystery is clear and that third person is exposed. Ajay, Kumar and Sudhakar united together and wipe out the evil.
